Pilot-zone objectives

KrispyXI keeps ordinary retail HELM available everywhere. The Phase B pilot changes only four existing zones and adds an optional weekly profession loop through the Field Surveyor in Celennia Expedition Hall.

The success and break checks are independent. A successful gather can therefore also break its tool. There is no item-quantity multiplier. HELM outside these four exact zone/activity pairs keeps its normal settings.

Survey Contract loop

  1. Choose one contract from the Field Surveyor.
  2. Optionally use the safe one-way travel service to the normal entrance of that contract's zone.
  3. Make eight successful gathers of the matching HELM type in the matching zone.
  4. Receive 20 Survey Scrip once, then choose another contract.

No-item, inventory-full, wrong-zone, wrong-activity, and wait-denied attempts grant no progress. Canceling discards only the current progress and consumes no weekly completion. A character may have one active contract at a time.

Survey Scrip is character-bound. It cannot be sold, traded, bought for gil, or converted back to gil directly or through resaleable items. Base gathering continues after every cap. The Seal route is deliberately bounded below crafting commissions and complements the separate Essence-plus-gil Supply Exchange. Ordinary tool bundles use gil and each costs at least twice its combined NPC resale.

Surveyor recognition

Every rewarded Survey Contract adds one persistent Surveyor point. One of the four contracts is featured each UTC Earth week in a deterministic four-week rotation; completing that exact contract adds one bonus point. The weekly contract and Scrip caps are unchanged, and repeated featured completions remain limited by those existing caps.

The Field Surveyor reports the current rank, lifetime rewarded-contract count, score, and featured contract. These are recognition records only: they grant no combat statistics, items, currency, access, extra materials, or increased success chance. Cosmetic tool recognition remains optional future work.

Lossy material bundles

The Field Surveyor accepts eight exact low-tier material bundles in exchange for the matching real level-5 synthesis kit. This route is capped at four total exchanges per character per UTC Earth week. It requires no Surveyor rank and grants no Survey Scrip, Artisan Seal, Surveyor point, access, or other reward.

The comparison deliberately gives the player the most favorable direct-NPC-resale interpretation: the input material value is measured against the maximum total resale of the level-5 kit's canonical result, while ignoring crystal cost. Every row still loses value, so no bundle can generate gil through immediate synthesis and vendor sale. Player-donated community kit stock is a separate conserved route at the Artisan Steward and never accepts these material bundles as provenance.

Every completed rewarded contract is also an eligible 20% Survey Map discovery attempt when no map is outstanding and the character has not already discovered one that Earth week. A hard pity guarantees the fifth eligible attempt. Pity and outstanding maps persist across weekly resets. The discovered route requires five successful native gathers in one of the same four pilot zones and pays 50 Expedition Renown plus 1 Artisan Seal without duplicating materials. Full rules and exact cumulative probabilities are in Expedition Ledger and Directives.

Native item probabilities

Values are rounded to four decimal places. The independent 10% tool-break check is not multiplied into the item chance.

Recipes, market rules, and resale values

  • 34 of 38 materials appear in at least one synthesis recipe. Herb Seeds, Vegetable Seeds, Grain Seeds, and Pebble do not.
  • 9 of 38 are already in the curated essentials AH: Copper Ore, Tin Ore, Iron Ore, Silver Ore, Elm Log, Maple Log, Ash Log, Bone Chip, and Bat Fang.
  • Four materials directly feed current commission outputs: Saruta Cotton, Gysahl Greens, Bone Chip, and Giant Femur. Together they occur in eleven matching recipe records.
  • The pilot does not add materials to the AH, change NPC resale, multiply item quantity, or pay gil. The 3,000-gil starter kit's combined NPC resale is below its purchase price.
